Motion capture is a method of tracking points on a person (or animal's) body
and recording the motion of those points into a computer. The animation
software then uses that recorded motion to move the skeleton (bones) for
the 3d model data. Presto! Very realistic motion for 3d rendered people or
objects. Kind of like computerized puppetry.
